Jurgen Klopp worried about Haaland’s Man City move: Unfortunately, he’s a really good signing

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted it is unfortunate for his club to have Manchester City sign Erling Haaland ahead of next season.

Manchester City confirmed on Tuesday that they had reached an agreement to sign the 21-year-old.

Klopp offered his thoughts on the deal after Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Tuesday night.

“[Haaland] is a good player!” Said Klopp.

“But City have never and will never be a winning team because of one player.

“I think Erling will suddenly realize that he will score a lot of goals in the second goal, where he just put his foot down, so he will love that.

“He is a real beast.”

The Liverpool boss went on to say that the arrival of Haaland made City even better.

“How do you do better? So much!” Klopp commented.

“He was injured a few times in Dortmund, but when he is healthy he is a real beast.

“Unfortunately, he’s a very good signing player.”

Carragher’s high praise of Haaland

Sky Sports inspector Jamie Carragher also revealed that Haaland is City’s best signing, and that he is happy to see him in the Premier League.

“Smart signing, of course,” Carragher said.

“Not only for Man City, but for the Premier League.

“I think we are all excited to see how he will do it.

“He and [Kylian] Mbappe feel like the next two boys who will surpass (Lionel] Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo and are happy to be in the Premier League.”
