Carlo Ancelotti wants Real Madrid to move on as Mbappe denies PSG deal is all about money

Carlo Ancelotti said he would “respect” Kylian Mbappe’s decision to stay in Paris Saint-Germain and reject Real Madrid, as the coach tries to pass the proverb.

Kylian Mbappe was expected to leave the French league after going to Madrid for a free transfer at the end of the season, a red carpet ready to be launched for the World Cup winner.

However, the 23-year-old was eventually asked to sign a lucrative three-year deal in Paris, which is rife with Madrid and LaLiga plans, with league president Javier Tebas, left confused and questioning how PSG’s money could allow the deal.

Ancelotti has a UEFA Champions League final on Saturday as Madrid takes on Liverpool, and a press conference on Tuesday gave him a chance to answer Kylian Mbappe’s questions before the match.

His responses were reduced, and the Italian midfielder said: “We have never talked about players who are not part of the club.

“We respect the player and his decision, and we have to work hard and there is already something big to come which is the final.”

Asked about Kylian Mbappe again, Carlo Ancelotti said: “I’m not talking about non-Real Madrid players.

Kylian Mbappe had said it was his dream to pull off Madrid’s famous white shirt, but his contempt for Los Blancos could mean that it would never happen.

In an interview with Marca, published on Tuesday, Mbappe said: “I think it is disrespectful to say that my dream is to play for Real Madrid after signing my contract a few days ago.

“The dream is good, but today I am only focused on my new contract, for now. You never know what will happen … I have a three-year contract, but for now, I have to focus on my year at PSG.”

PSG have been knocked out by Madrid in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League, and the French club have never won the Champions League.

In contrast, Real Madrid will be vying for the 14th title against Liverpool in a match in Paris.

Kylian Mbappe emphasized that his decision to commit to the Ligue 1 champions was not a financial one.

“People can say what they want, but everyone knows me. I’ve talked to everyone at Real Madrid, I’ve talked to PSG, and they know I’ve never discussed money with the president, Florentino Perez, or Nasser Al. -Khelaifi,” Mbappe said.

“My lawyer talked a little bit about money with my mother but I could not talk, I was talking about sports because I was talking on the field.

“My money goes to my account, I look at it a little bit, but I don’t care. I came here to win titles, to show that I’m much better and happier. I think I’m happy right now.”
