Carlo Ancelotti has emphasized that there are no problems with Gareth Bale inside Real Madrid’s locker room after the Wales international missed out on La Bliga’s LaLiga title celebrations.
Real Madrid lifted their 35th league title last Saturday after beating Espanyol 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu, where Los Blancos celebrated on the pitch with a trophy in front of fans after the game.
Ancelotti’s team then boarded a bus around the Spanish capital the next day, but Bale was not present on both occasions as he described “back disappointment” in his absence.
Eden Hazard, like Bale, has not played in Madrid this season but has been seen happily participating in the midweek celebration after a stunning Champions League victory over Manchester City.
That has further fueled speculation about the popularity of Bale, who has just played five times in LaLiga this season, but Ancelotti believes his club hold “respect” for the former Tottenham man.
“There is no distance to the writing room, they are in love, she was not there because she could not move. It happened to me,” the Italian told reporters at a press conference on Saturday.
Dani Ceballos is another Los Blancos name linked to the exit door of the next transfer window, but has been given more opportunities in recent weeks, with eight of the last nine games.
Ancelotti has revealed his desire to keep the midfielder at the club ahead of the game against Atletico Madrid in LaLiga on Sunday.
“I have had an interview with Ceballos, he knows what I think of him, what the team thinks of him and he should make him think it is the best decision,” he added.
“You know what I think, what his colleagues think, he has to sit down and decide what he wants to do.”
At the time, Ancelotti was given special honors by right-back Dani Carvajal, who played well against Pep Guardiola’s City in a dramatic Champions League transformation.
“He struggled because of injuries but he has a good, strong personality,” he continued. “I know he gets frustrated at times and can only deliver 100 percent.
“He was outstanding against Manchester City. No one ever gave up, he gave up. Wearing a Real Madrid shirt means a lot to these players, Carvajal is in excellent condition, very helpful.
“Also, when the team needs him the most he is.”
