Barcelona boss Xavi is hopeful that young star Ansu Fati will reappear before the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
The Spaniard suffered a concussion for 18 months at Camp Nou and for nine months did not play in the first team in 2020/2021 after undergoing knee surgery.
His start to the 2021/22 season has been plagued by problems, with a hamstring injury he suffered in December, making him play only twice in 2022.
However, following his gradual return to full communications training two weeks ago the 19-year-old looks set to close with a definite date of return.
“Things are going well for him, and I hope he can return to the field soon this season.”
Xavi’s comments on Fati’s recovery will be good news for La Blaugrana fans, as he will still be appearing in Xavi’s happy little team, but his recovery is still a priority.
This weekend’s trip to Levante will be a quick one for Fati and Xavi has indicated that it could be next month before he kicks the ball in the tournament.
