Contrary to reports in Poland, Robert Lewandowski did not agree to go to Barcelona with a decision to be made about his future after negotiating a contract with Bayern Munich, according to Sport1.
Pini Zahavi is in talks with other clubs, one of which is Barcelona but according to reports, Lewandowski has never asked permission from Bayern Munich for a summer transfer.
The 33-year-old has a contract until 2023 and will decide his future once further negotiations, which should be at the end of the season.
Bayern Munich can only accept a transfer if they find one who qualifies. If they do not, the club’s management will allow Lewandowski to enter the final year of his contract but there is a risk that the Polish player will go free in 2023.
