Barcelona are said to be keen to go on summer with Stuttgart defender Borna Sosa, who can be available for only 25 million euros (£ 20.9m).
After a quiet start following the departure of Dinamo Zagreb, Sosa impressed the German team for the past two seasons. In 2020/21 he has registered 10 assistants as the newly promoted Stuttgart finishes just outside Europe.
He is also in fine form at this stage, scoring seven goals for his team-mates, even if his side are relegated.
According to Kicker, there was a lot of interest in his career when the transfer window opened in January but Sosa agreed to stay to help Stuttgart fight the ax.
However, as part of the negotiations, the Bundesliga side is said to have vowed to release the player if the interested clubs meet their 25 million euro mark.
One of the groups that are said to be hunting for Sosa is Barcelona. La Blaugrana has changed dramatically since Xavi took over in November, losing just once in 18 La Liga games and climbing to second place in the table.
Sosa is not the only player they are looking at again. Barça are thought to be closing down Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta from Chelsea, with Franck Kessie in charge.
