FC Barcelona lost at home for the second time in 5 days as Lucas Perez struck to seal a surprise 1-0 victory for LaLiga strugglers Cadiz.

Perez missed the best chance of the first half in a blazing fire from 12 yards out, but the former Arsenal striker scored the game-winning goal 47 minutes later.

Jeremias Ledesma has released a series of fine saves to thwart Barca’s attempts to return, as Xavi has seen his team’s 15-match unbeaten run in the league stand out in a shocking way.

After leaving the Europa League at Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday, Barca’s LaLiga hopes are dashed now, and they sit just three points behind fifth-placed Real Betis.

Despite the dismissal of some fans who created a flat atmosphere at Camp Nou, Barca made a good start – Ousmane Dembele and Ferran Torres forced Ledesma to save twice.

Cadiz quickly settled in, missed the first bright spot of the game after 27 minutes, and Perez came off the sidelines in a mysterious way with a goal gap.

Dembele fired badly at Ledesma on the other hand and Perez paid for Barca after a fresh start, making no mistake as he approached a short distance after Marc-Andre ter Stegen made a good save.

Ledesma again interrupted Dembele 20 minutes later, although Barca was lucky that Alex Fernandez and Ruben Sobrino missed good chances.

Ledesma denied Luuk de Jong and turned Eric Garcia’s strike before saving the game in the best possible way, responding well to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s volley during Barca’s disappointing defeat.
