Thomas Tuchel set a record for most Champions League victories after 50 games as a coach during Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Lille on Wednesday.
The Blues’ victory at Stade Pierre-Mauroy in their second leg of the last 16 puts Tuchel in 32 wins of the century.
He passed him to the previous bench set by Zinedine Zidane, who managed to win 31 of his first 50 Champions League appearances on the pitch.
Chelsea had to come from behind to complete the 4-1 win over Lille, however. Christian Pulisic and Cesar Azpilicueta tossed Burak Yilmaz’s goal into the penalty spot to send them to the quarter-finals.
