Real Madrid’s 17 year old starlet Nico Paz called up to the senior Argentine National Team

Nico-Paz

Remember the name, Nico Paz. The 17-year-old Real Madrid midfielder was named Lionel Scaloni this morning as part of an Argentine squad for the World Cup qualifier against Venezuela and Ecuador, according to a Diario AS report.

Paz joined Real Madrid in 2017 from Tenerife. He was born in Spain but holds dual nationality due to Argentine blood running through his veins. He started his career as a full-back before playing the role of forward, but it is understandable that he now plays his football as a midfielder or a top player anywhere.

He has been out of La Fabrica for a while and despite his age, he has already made his debut under Raul and Castilla. Madrid, recognizing his great potential, signed a professional contract recently.

He has played most of his football this season with Juvenil B but Sceloni’s decision to appoint him for an international career has put him at a disadvantage. He is thought to have nailed it to Argentina before La Roja came calling.
