The investigating website Bellingcat disclosed the news but confirmed that the amount suspected was insufficient to cause serious harm to his life.
Bellingcat wrote on Twitter: “Bellingcat can confirm that three members of the team that attended the peace talks between Ukraine and Russia on the night of 3 to 4 March 2022 have symptoms associated with chemical weapons poisoning.
“One of the victims was Russian businessman Roman Abramovich.”
Sky Sports reports that Abramovich is now ‘right’ after the panic, while an American official raised doubts about the toxicity and suggested that the cause was most likely due to environmental factors.
Abramovich had been traveling between Moscow and Kyiv during several peace talks during Russia’s invasion of neighboring Ukraine.
