Brazil coach Tite has called up Arsenal striker Gabriel Martinelli for the first time on Friday in the last two World Cup qualifiers 2022 at the end of the month.
The club, however, did not include Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus or Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino, who could now be in danger of missing out on Qatar’s final in November.
Neymar, who has not played in the last three qualifiers in Brazil, is back on the team.
The Brazilian team leader, who has already booked a place in the World Cup finals, will face Chile in sixth place at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on March 24. Five days later, Seleção will visit Bolivia.
The Brazilian soccer federation also said that on Friday the team would play five friendly matches before the World Cup against unknown teams.
