It has been two months since Egypt and Senegal played in the Africa Cup of Nations finals, and now they will fight again as they face each other for the first time in a two-legged World Cup qualifier. The tournament will be played on Friday at Cairo International Stadium.

Both groups were dominated by collections, undefeated. That gives each team a huge boost as they try to secure a ticket to the World Cup in Qatar.

Egypt must enter the tournament with heavy shoulders, as they missed out on winning the Africa Cup of Nations when they lost to Senegal in a penalty shootout last January. This was a slow and organized tournament, as both teams seemed cautious, not wanting to make a mistake. That left the game without points after 120 minutes, sending the tournament into a penalty shootout where Senegal won.

Egypt will look to put that loss on the rear screen and continue their momentum as they strive to reach the World Cup. Senegal also comes up with World Cup ambitions, and each team understands that they must continue their momentum in this two-legged match.
