Former footballer and football director Jan-Age Fjortoft believe Barcelona are behind Real Madrid and Manchester City in the race to sign Erling Braut Haaland.
Fjortoft is from Haaland and is notorious for being in the Haaland camp, having previously advised a player and his father about his career.
Now working as a pundit reporter, Fjortoft told ESPN that Haaland may have moved to another England or Spain, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
“Everything is between two clubs and I believe it is Real Madrid and Manchester City,” said the former Norway international.
“I think Barcelona can do that. It may happen in the end, but, in the long run, it is between two clubs and two countries. ”
He also noted that the media coverage around him is a battlefield again, on his Twitter feed.
“I have a feeling that Real Madrid is ahead of Barcelona,” he told ESPN.
“What I do know is that the current system is based on a lot of detail. In the end, Erling will have to make a decision. ”
With the future of Kylian Mbappe looking set for Real Madrid, the Haaland race is becoming more and more important for all of Europe’s top clubs.
