SPORT’s Alexander Alcazar has revealed that Real Madrid have reached an agreement to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland in the summer after signing an agreement with his representatives in Monaco.
As reported by Spanish media, Madrid representative June Calafat met with Rafaela Pimenta, the Brazilian lawyer and right-hander of Mino Raiola, and the father of footballer Alf-Inge Haaland, to close the deal at the Monegasque Principality.
It is believed that the main reason for Calafat’s visit to Monaco was to establish first-time contacts for the club to sign French midfielder Aurélien Tchouameni.
It is important to note that the event was postponed to January and that is when Madrid officials contacted Pimenta and Haaland Sr. as they are the people responsible for preventing conversations.
Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund enjoy a healthy partnership and the German team are well aware of the interest collected by their striker. While it is certain that the Norwegian man will not continue in the Bundesliga this season, it will take a huge amount to convince Dortmund to sell their striker.
However, Madrid already has a plan. Their idea is to offer an initial bid of € 75 million and gradually lower the price by offering Luke Jovic in exchange. Despite the Serbian heavyweight bout in Spain but his stock in the German Bundesliga has always been a source of attraction.
Giving a player an exchange will reduce Dortmund’s task of finding a contractor, making it a win-win situation for all involved.
Life is not all rainbow and sunshine yet and Madrid are expected to read this hard. Despite striking a deal with the player’s opponents, the final decision will be for the striker.
Moreover, even if Madrid somehow managed to find her husband, leading a star-attacking attacking team would be a headache.
Speaking of which, Benzema has a contract until 2023 and is very likely to see his contract. That coincides with the possible arrival of Kylian Mbappe leaving Vinicius Jr. as nothing but a third wheel. Accepting this Brazilian player will be difficult for Carlo Ancelloti.
But that is a risk that Madrid officials are willing to take.
