Paris Saint-Germain boss Nasser Al-Khelaifi has swiped Real Madrid ahead of the Champions League tonight. PSG and Los Blancos will meet in the Champions League round of 16 tonight at Parc de Princes.
The first leg tire is highly anticipated, with a lot of narratives between the two sides. But before the match, it emerged that PSG president Al-Khelaifi had canceled a planned dinner with Real Madrid teammate Florentino Perez.
A few hours before the game, Al-Khelaifi has made it clear that he is thinking about Real Madrid as a whole.
“I will not hide it, we probably do not have a relationship with Real Madrid,” he was quoted as saying by COPE. “I will not go back on what happened
“I believe in football that is easily accessible to small clubs, they don’t”
Al-Khelaifi refers to a Super League project started by Perez and run by Real Madrid.
The plans have left small clubs and have not been supported by PSG, despite their ambitions to become the biggest and most successful team in the world.
Morality seems to be more important than Al-Khelaifi’s dinner, although it is unclear whether that was the real reason for the cancellation of the meal.
The two presidents may have met in tonight’s game and may have shared the box of director at Parc des Princes.
