Premier League club Chelsea have joined a growing list of clubs in search of Barcelona star Gavi.
Gavi gained prominence this season after making his debut for his club in August, coinciding with Spain’s first match in October, as the youngest player to ever represent La Roja at the highest level.
He has made 16 La Liga appearances so far in 2021/22 as one of Xavi’s sixth team this season.
However, despite his importance in the La Blaugrana project under Xavi, the club will continue to extend the 17-year-old’s contract extension.
His current contract at the Camp Nou expires at the end of 2022/23 with Liverpool open to offer him an annual salary of four billion euros, as well as a signing of ten million euros with a bonus at Anfield.
According to reports from El Nacional, Liverpool’s interest has aroused Chelsea in action, and the Blues are ready to match Liverpool in meeting Gavi’s current release of 50 million euros and a huge salary package.
