Ajax star, Antony, has admitted that he hopes to make it to the Premier League, where he is attracting a lot of interest.
The media revealed that Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Manchester City have all been tracking the 21-year-old Brazilian, whose representatives have made it clear he would like to switch to the Premier League for anything else.
Asked about his future by De Telegraaf, Antony made no secret of his desire to move to England sometime in the future.
“Ajax is a place I feel happy about. But then I think about the next step, ”he admits.
“I think the English and Spanish competitions are really good. When the time is right, I hope I will be able to play there. When exactly? Only God knows. ”
Antony has managed to score 11 goals and nine assists in 26 games in all competitions, splitting ideas with his brilliant football style and determination to devise a strategy or two when running for his man.
“There will always be people who think the tricks are fun and people don’t agree with them,” he said of his style.
“I think my actions work, because I want to show the enemy that I am the boss. And it often causes a goal or help. So I do not care what others think. Without being commended or criticized, I end up concentrating. ”
Ajax boss Erik ten Hag, who has been at the forefront of United’s list of new appointees, has admitted that it will be difficult to keep Antony this season, despite having three years on his contract.
