Mauricio Pochettino has expressed uncertainty as to whether Neymar will be fully recovered and will be able to play in the first leg of Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League against Real Madrid.
Ligue 1 will host Real Madrid at Parc des Princes on February 15 but may need to do so without Neymar, who suffered an ankle injury on November 28 against Saint-Etienne.
“We don’t know yet [whether Neymar will be ready to face Real Madrid],” Pochettino told reporters after PSG’s 4-0 win over Stade Reims on Sunday.
“We will look into his recovery next week. He will be there if all goes well. We hope but for now, we do not know.”
The Brazilian star is expected to return to PSG’s Ligue 1 match away in Lille on February 6.
