Robert Lewandowski won the FIFA Best men’s 2021 award for the 2nd year running at an event at FIFA’s headquarters in Zurich on Monday.

The Bayern Munich striker has beaten his nominees like Lionel Messi and Mohamed Salah to the award, as he also won the last of his trophies in December 2020.

Lewandowski has scored 58 goals in 47 games in all competitions in 2021, including breaking two long-held records held by legendary German striker Gerd Muller. He has scored 41 goals in one Bundesliga season for Bayern Munich, and 43 Bundesliga goals in a calendar year.

Lewandowski has scored 34 goals in 27 games so far this season, including nine in the Champions League group stage.
