Erling Haaland has revealed that Borussia Dortmund are pressuring him to make a decision on his future very soon. Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Manchester City are among the clubs that have been linked with a move for the striker at the end of the season.
Speaking after his side’s 5-1 win over Freiburg, Haaland admitted he felt the heat of the club deciding where his future was next season – and he was quick.
“Six months ago, I decided not to say anything respectfully about Dortmund,” he told Viaplay Football of Norway.
“But now the team has started pressuring me to make a decision since all I want to do is play football.
“But they are forcing me now to make a decision about my future which means I have to make it soon.
“I have to accept that. I chose not to say anything out of respect for the team and the fans but now there is a lot of pressure coming from the team.
“Now is the time to make amends. That’s what they want so it means things will happen now. ”
In all the team’s determination to find out where it stands, the former Salzburg star has emphasized that we would like to block all transfer speeches.
“I said from the beginning that I wanted to focus on football because that’s when I was at the top, not when there were other things on my mind,” he added.
“But they put pressure on me for a long time so it’s time to start.
“I don’t want to make a decision now because we are in a tough time with a lot of games and we want to play football but I can’t do that now…”
