Eden Hazard’s disappointment with Real Madrid could end soon with a player wanting to leave the club.
This is according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reported Sunday night that Hazard wants to leave Los Blancos after a disagreement with party president Florentino Pérez.
Hazard’s time at the Bernabéu was marred by various injuries and, according to Tavolieri, the team’s medical department recommended that he undergo surgery again.
However, it is reported that Pérez would have preferred if the 31-year-old continued playing to put him in the store window to buy customers.
Real Madrid spent 115 million euros when signing Chelsea’s Hazard in the summer of 2019, but he has managed to make just 59 appearances in two and a half years.
Hazard has played 16 games in all competitions so far this season, but has yet to score a goal in 2021/22 and has not changed as Carlo Ancelotti’s side beat Athletic Club in the final of the Supercopa de España on Sunday evening.
