Argentine DJ Fer Palacio has denied giving Lionel Messi a Covid-19 after receiving death threats online.

Palacio posted a photo of the two of them simultaneously a few days before Leo Messi’s test for coronavirus.

According to ESPN, the photo was taken at one of the few parties the Paris Saint-Germain striker had visited during the holidays while at home in Rosario. However, that did not stop Palacio from attracting a host of negative messages from Messi fans.

“I’m a habit on Twitter because Lionel Messi was tested for COVID-19,” he said in an Instagram video while confirming that he had received death threats.

“They told me that I was a victim, and they even called me a murderer. I have a lot of very bad secret messages. Yesterday I was tested because I have to go to Uruguay, and I do not have COVID-19, “he added.

Lionel Messi was one of four PSG players who tested positive for Covid-19 during the Ligue 1 winter break and is currently completing his solitary season in Argentina.

He will miss his side’s match against Coupe de France where he will face Vannes who play in the fourth division on Monday, as well as a crucial Ligue 1 match against Lyon next week.

Messi enjoyed a landmark 2021 year, spent most of his time with the Barcelona club, and ended Argentina’s anticipation of Copa America fame in the summer.

“I would like to thank you for all I have had to live this year 2021,” she wrote on Instagram.

“Even more so when a lot of people had a really bad time because of the chronic s — ty virus. I hope 2022 will bring a lot of life, which I wish you all a happy new year. Hug to everyone !!!”
