Ángel Di María and Lautaro Martínez beat Argentina each in the first half. Di María, the Copa America champion, has scored another great goal. After his humiliating goal against Brazil, he would score another goal against Uruguay in a November World Cup qualifier.
The Argentine would have scored the same goal as he had three Chilean players in front of him and curled one in the corner of the post which gave Argentina a 1-0 lead. It was the first half where Lisandro Martínez played a lot of passes from the bottom and Nicolas Tagliafico played well defensively and aggressively as the two Ajax players were present.
However, the result was 1-0, a cross was sent to the penalty area and Molina was hit in the long run as Brereton headed home a ball hitting Chile. But those effects did not last long.
Alejandro Papu Gomez had a fine dribble when he passed the ball to Rodrigo De Paul who went ahead and took a shot from outside the penalty area. The shot was stopped by Claudio Bravo but Lautaro Martinez got the rebound and beat Argentina 2-1.
It was 2-1 Argentina going into the second half. Argentina have three players who have received yellow cards and will all miss the next match against Colombia next week. The first to receive a yellow card was Rodrigo De Paul, followed by Leandro Paredes and Nicolas Tagliafico.
Argentina’s national team coach Walter Samuel has made a number of appearances. Tottenham’s Gio Lo Celso has been signed from Atletico Madrid’s Rodrigo De Paul. The second transfer saw Marcos Acuna of Sevilla Nicolas Gonzalez of Fiorentina. And the third change was Julian Alvarez of La Plaroo Martinez River Plate.
Emiliano Martinez made a good save to save Argentina’s advantage as he saves from a distance. Atletico Madrid’s Angel Correa, wearing the number 10 shirt, has replaced Angel Di Maria. Argentina did not get much of a chance in the second half but two goals in the first half won the match with three points.
Having already entered the World Cup, Argentina have not lost in their last 28 games.
