Inter Milan made the brighter start of the two sides but Juventus grew into the contest and midway through the first half they went in front when Weston McKennie headed home from Alvaro Morata’s cross.

Their lead did not last long, however, as 10 minutes later Edin Džeko stumbled into the box by Mattia De Sciglio and the referee pointed to a shelter.

The Argentine striker Lautaro Martínez came up and scored from spot-kick 1-1.

In the second half, Denzel Dumfries came close to putting Inter 2-1 on top, but a combination of crossbar and Juve goalkeeper Mattia Perin kept the Dutchman header out.

The goal is always equal after 90 minutes, the game goes into overtime.

And when it looked like he had to cut the penalties, Alexis Sanchez came out to score the latest amazing goal in the 120th minute.

Simone Inzaghi’s Nerazzurri lifts Supercoppa for the first time since 2010.
