The Former Real Madrid Captain Sergio Ramos has revealed that he is ready to “die” for Paris Saint-Germain when they face his former club Real Madrid in the 16th round of the Champions League.

A few hours later on Monday, PSG were drawn against Manchester United in a match that saw Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo reunite.

However, after it became clear that there was something wrong with the first draw, UEFA confirmed that it would have to start again. In the second round, PSG were compared to Real.

The tie is important for a number of reasons, especially since he will see Ramos return to his old club for the first time since he went on a free summer transfer.

According to Marca, the Spanish defender admitted he had mixed feelings about returning to Madrid, although he emphasized that he would do anything to help PSG advance to the quarter-finals.

“The future is small. I would like another team to play with us. You know the love and affection I have for Real Madrid,” he said.

“Now is my chance to defend PSG and I will do my best to get through. It’s the team that bet me. I will die for PSG.”

He added: “When I got on the plane it was United, which was a cool team for me and it turned out to be illegal. I wish there was no such conflict but a return to the Bernabéu is the cause. For the fun. I couldn’t say goodbye because of Covid.”

Since joining PSG, Ramos has endured a difficult time, most recently making his club debut due to a serious calf injury. The defender has worked hard to recover in recent times and will be keen to come back shooting at all the Real cylinder games.
