Mauricio Pochettino in trouble at Paris Saint-Germain

Although the results have been good for Mauricio Pochettino and Paris Saint-Germain this season, it is clear that there are problems at the club amid suggestions that the Argentine coach is in trouble at Parc des Princes.

The former Tottenham boss is under a microscope because of speculation in the media that a number of players are at odds with the coach, who has also been linked with a move to Manchester United.

According to L’Equipe, there have been suggestions that Leo Messi’s team has serious doubts about Pochettino’s skills.

It is also believed that a number of PSG players believe that Pochettino’s style of play is limited and that there is no power to make positive changes when it comes to attacking. This means he can’t get the best out of his threats – Kylian Mbappe, Messi, and Neymar

Pochettino’s personality has also been criticized, with some believing he is too lenient with the players, and he does not reprimand them if necessary. Although his management of Messi – which allowed him to celebrate his Ballon d’Or two days before the game – did not go down well.

Given that, Pochettino has clarified his position and stressed that the media will not always be kind to PSG when it comes to focusing on the club.

“I feel good and calm,” Pochettino said. “I feel like my players are supporting me.

“We have good times and bad times and I understand that being at PSG means light on the club, and not everything will make us happy. There are things we need to improve and we can play better.”

Next up for PSG is their last group stage match in the Champions League against Club Brugge, although Ligue 1 will finish second only to Manchester City in Group A without their result against the Belgians.
