Kylian Mbappe is a wanted man, and Real Madrid’s quest for him and the determination of Paris Saint-Germain to keep him will be the subject of a future transfer window.

PSG sporting director Leonardo is well aware that other clubs will try to get the Frenchman out of Paris, but he still believes there is a chance for him to stay, despite being heavily linked with a departure.

“It’s a complicated situation because we would like him to stay here forever and we should respect his position,” Leonardo said in an interview with Le JDD and Europe1.

“I think there is still a good chance he will sign a new contract at PSG. I believe it is possible.”

Leonardo believes Kylian Mbappe is currently the best player in the world.

“People think we are the best because we want him to sign a new contract but that is not the case,” he said. “It is more than what the party wants.

“In almost 23 years, Kylian has grown incredibly strong for him.”

PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino has been criticized this season for his performance, but Leonardo still supports the Argentine coach.

Everything we thought about him when he arrived is the same, ”said the Brazilian.

“It takes time to adjust to summer changes.

“You have to do that even with the players we have.
