English Premier League clubs are reportedly set to meet on Monday to discuss postponing the entire game round during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
6 games were canceled this weekend after several clubs registered an internal outbreak of COVID-19 cases, which left them unable to meet the team’s needs.
According to The Athletic, Gameweek 20 – the games that will take place on December 28, December 29, and December 30 – are a series of games that could be postponed.
Understandably, managers and players alike are concerned about how the ‘omicron’ variation could have an impact on their desired Christmas plans.
However, while the Premier League sees a number of clubs facing the outbreak, their aim is to continue with their current playing program where it is ‘possible safely’.
