Cristiano Ronaldo shed tears on the pitch at the Estadio da Luz when his Portugal team failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, losing to Serbia.

Portugal advanced by two minutes but hit a high note and Aleksandar Mitrovic ensured Serbia advanced to Group A, while Portugal only needed a draw to advance.

Continuing to miss the opportunity after Mitrovic’s goal, Cristiano Ronaldo died in the grass with his final whistle, in the same way, he reacted when he was sent off in his first Champions League match at Juventus in Valencia in 2018.

Portugal is now in the playoffs, along with Sweden, Wales, Switzerland or Italy, Finland or Ukraine, Scotland, one of Turkey, Norway or the Netherlands, and Russia, Poland or England, and Northern Macedonia or Romania.
