Lionel Messi is expected to play Argentina against Uruguay in a World Cup qualifier in 2022.
Lionel Messi has been the talk of the Argentine national team since Monday when he and Leandro Paredes coached the team. On Tuesday, Lionel Messi trained with the team as reports emerged from Ole that he would start the match against Argentina and Uruguay on Friday.
Although Ole’s report says Lionel Messi will start, a different TyC report says he will play Uruguay but may not start. They point out that if Lionel Messi does not start, it will be either Paulo Dybala or Alejandro Papu Gomez.
Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni will hold another training session on Wednesday.
