The Brazilian international striker’s comments came after Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-1 win over Lille at the Parc des Princes, with goals from Marquinhos and Angel Di Maria helping PSG return in the 2nd half.
Neymar said any criticism he receives does not affect him, especially when it comes from outsiders, and he believes his experience in football has helped him deal with his critics.
“Criticism is common,” Neymar said after the game. “I have been playing professional football for the last 15 years and I don’t care, the most important critic is me.
“I have to know what I’m doing on the pitch for my team. The outsiders don’t know what’s going on inside. They don’t know what we’re doing. But it’s okay. I’m still the same. It’s always the same.”
Looking directly into the game, Neymar emphasized that the victory was the result of a concerted effort against a strong rival like Lille.
“It was a very difficult game,” added Neymar.
“We knew this team would make it difficult for us. They are good, but we fought to the end and we scored goals. A good team effort. I am very happy with the victory.”
