Lucas Hernandez avoids jail as Madrid court accepts appeal

Lucas Hernandes

The France international footballer Lucas Hernandez has avoided prison after his appeal was upheld at the Provincial Court of Spain, as he has instead received a suspended 6-month sentence.

The Bayern Munich defender is now subjected to conditions that include not committing another crime in the next 4 years, along with 240 fines worth 400 euros each.

Should he breach these rules, Lucas will face imprisonment.

Lucas’ trip to Miami with his partner in 2017 was in conflict with a restraining order that was held over both of them, given after a previous altercation between the two.

In Las Vegas, images shared by the couple suggest that they got married. Ignoring this order could have seen Lucas Hernandez go to prison, but he has managed to get away with it.
