Denmark became the 2nd European team to qualify for next year’s Qatar World Cup by beating Austria 1-0 on Tuesday to keep the team’s record in their group.

Joakim Maehle’s 53rd-minute goal at Parken Stadium protected the Danes, who are still in Group F and have a 100% record.

Germany were the first team to reach the tournament in Qatar in 2022 by qualifying, placing first place in their squad on Monday.

By finishing just in first place, Denmark grabbed 7 points to lead Scotland, who needed a goal in the 86th minute by Lyndon Dykes to beat the Faeroe Islands 1-0.

Israel are in third place, 4 points behind, after beating Moldova 2-1.
