The Argentina international full-back Marcos Acuña was injured while playing for Sevilla and there is no doubt about Argentina’s World Cup qualifiers in October.
Acuña suffered an ankle injury during Sevilla’s UEFA Champions League match and did not miss the October games. Although not yet eliminated from the World Cup qualifiers, coach Lionel Scaloni has decided to call Facundo Medina to the team.
Facundo Medina has been called up to the squad as Marcos Acuña may not be available. Marcos Acuña suffered an ankle injury during Sevilla’s UEFA Champions League match.
At just 22 years old, Facundo Medina can play on the left or in the middle of the back row.
