Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni spoke after the suspension of his team’s match against Brazil.
The match between Argentina and Brazil has been postponed with players and coaches unhappy with the decision. Five minutes after the World Cup qualifier 2022 between Argentina and Brazil, Brazilian paramedics stormed the stadium and the match was called off.
Lionel Scaloni spoke about the situation after the game. Here is what he should have said:
“I have to protect my players. If people come in and want to take my players, there’s no chance.
“It really hurts me. I don’t want a criminal. If something happened or didn’t happen, it was not time to make that intervention.
“There was never a time when we were informed that they could not play the game. We wanted to play a game, with the Brazilian players. ”
