Leo Messi scored a hat-trick in breaking the Latin American record in Argentina’s 3-0 win over Bolivia in a World Cup qualifier 2022.

Leo Messi has reached 79 goals with the Argentine national team as he surpasses Pele’s record for most goals scored by a South American player in his national team. The first goal saw Leo Messi play the ball on the opposing team’s legs and the left foot outside the penalty area gave Argentina a 1-0 lead.

Angel Di Maria, who was Argentina’s all-time leading scorer in the first half, played without a football to Lautaro Martinez who scored. However, Lautaro was not present when the lineman hoisted his flag.

Lautaro Martinez missed another good chance as Leo Messi played in the past and his efforts were immediately publicized. Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has brought in Joaquin Correa Alejandro Papu Gomez.

The second goal tied Lionel Messi’s encounter with Lautaro Martinez, with Messi playing the ground over Lautaro who returned the ball and his right ball made Argentina 2-0 up.

Two more changes in Argentina as Nicolas Gonzalez was brought in by Angel Di Maria and Angel Correa to Lautaro Martinez. Lionel Scaloni will also add two more players as Exequiel Palacios has replaced Rodrigo De Paul and Lucas Martinez Quarta of Nicolas Otamendi.

Argentina would have scored their 3rd goal and then Lionel Messi. Attempts from outside the penalty area were saved by the goalkeeper but Leo Messi came back with a plan.
