Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni announced his squad for the next month’s World Cup qualifiers 2022 and Paulo Dybala has been included.
Dybala is a big name for inclusion as he has not been selected for the national team in three years. With the likes of Lautaro Martinez and Lucas Alario knocking, Sergio Aguero out until October, and Mauro Icardi out for 3-4 weeks, Scaloni opting for the jewel at Juventus.
In addition, with goalkeeper Agustin Marchesin out undergoing knee surgery, Geronimo Rulli of Villarreal has been included. Juan Foyth, who was part of two World Cup qualifiers before Argentina won the Copa America, has also returned to the team. Aston Villa’s Emiliano Buendia was included after he, like Foyth, missed out on Copa America.
The September qualifiers are exactly the same as the Copa America champions but with a new addition.
