Leo Messi has been a free transfer agent for the past month after losing his previous Barcelona contract, as Barca are trying to find a solution and sign a new terms contract agreement.
Barcelona has been under pressure to load some of the highest-paid earners in line with the La Liga salary bill, which is understood to have created a stumbling block in negotiations.
According to the sports report claiming that Leo Messi has agreed to sign a new 5-year contract with Barcelona, which will keep him at the club until he is 39 years old.
The report also adds that Barca president Joan Laporta has yet to reduce the salary of this squad before Leo Messi is signed for the new season, with Argentina agreeing to a 50% reduction to stay in Camp Nou.
