Aubameyang has no plans to leave Arsenal

The former Borussia Dortmund player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has signed a new contract with the Gunners in the summer of 2020 but has had a 2020-21 season of forgetting with 10 goals in 29 Premier League games.

Personal problems and malaria also contributed to Aubameyang’s season of hard work, but he struggled to find form before the season and was forced to miss out on Gunners’ and Brentford’s opening defeat due to illness.

Barcelona’s exchange deal with Philippe Coutinho has been scrapped, but The Express says Aubameyang has no plans to end his Emirates career at the moment.

The report also adds that contact with Barcelona has been dismissed as ‘nonsense’, with Aubameyang wanting to see his current contract at Arsenal and become a club legend.

The 32-year-old scored 85 goals in 148 games for Arsenal and should not be free transfer until the end of the 2022-23 season.
