Karim Benzema set for new 2-year Real Madrid contract

The French international Karim Benzema faces an uncertain future with Real Madrid who is still being asked to move to Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland.

Karim Benzema’s existing contract with the Los Blancos is set to expire at the end of the 2021-22 season, which means he could go free transfer agent in less than 1 year if a new contract is not agreed upon.

According to the Marca reports that the Frenchman will sign a 1-year extension, which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2023.

The report also adds that talks with Karim Benzema over new deals have been going well since joining the club 12 years ago

Karim Benzema scored 4 goals in Euro 2020 following his return to the French national team and scored 30 goals in 46 games in all Real Madrid competitions last season.
