France’s international future is shrouded in uncertainty over the past few months, as Manchester United and Chelsea are believed to be preparing for the striker’s swoops when his time at Bayern expires.
The existing agreement with Coman and the Bundesliga champions does not expire in another 2 years, but he has reportedly applied for a firm contract for a new contract with the club.
According to Bild, representatives of Coman have demanded an annual salary of € 12m (£ 10.3m) for the forward to stay in Bayern Munich, which will earn him the same amount as Lewandowski.
However, the report adds that Bayern are not in a position to offer such salaries, but head coach Julian Nagelsmann still wants to keep Coman in the 2021-22 season.
Coman has scored 8 goals and 15 assists more in all competitions at club level last season and has been included in Didier Deschamps’ French squad for Euro 2020.
