Ronald Koeman’s future in Barcelona has been shrouded in uncertainty, although President Joan Laporta has announced that a decision will be made within the next 10 days after negotiations.
According to Mundo Deportivo reports says that Koeman will sit down with the Barca board on Thursday, and they have agreed to keep the Dutchman at the club for the 2021-22 season.
The report says Laporta has reached Koeman’s final decision due to the absence of a replacement, and the 58-year-old could stay even longer than 2022 if he leads Barcelona to a major trophy next term.
Ronald Koeman has managed to win 35 of his 54 games in charge of La Blaugrana so far, and his ranks have already been strengthened by the arrival of Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia as free transfer agents.
Joan Laporta have also announced that signings will be announced next week, with the club still working on deals with Georginio Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay.
