Arsenal have long been linked with a move for Emiliano Buendia – already confirmed by the Premier League – but Canaries boss Stuart Webber has confirmed it will cost money to sign the club to allow Buendia to leave.

According to Football London, Arsenal and Aston Villa took the first step towards Buendia on Wednesday, but the £ 30million bids on both sides were set back by Norwich.

The report also adds that Buendia will face a ‘tough choice’ if Arsenal and Aston Villa are willing to offer similar salaries to Argentine, but Arsenal are still optimistic about their chances of winning the race for Buendia services.

Buendia scored 15 goals and assisted 17 more in Norwich’s winning campaign last season, and while Aston Villa are also thought to be interested sign him, the West Midlands midfielder is reportedly still considering Emile Smith Rowe’s contract at Arsenal.
