The Frenchman’s future has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks, with various reports suggesting he should have resigned from Madrid at the end of the season.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Zidane has now decided to leave Real Madrid ‘immediately’, meaning the Spanish giants will be under the leadership of a new coach in the 2021-22 season.

The 48-year-old is in his second stint with the Spanish giants and has enjoyed great success in leading, winning 2 La Liga titles and 3 UEFA Champions League titles.

The Frenchman has a contract at the Bernabeu until next June, but a recent report says he was ‘tired and tired’ this season and was no longer enjoying the role.

Real Madrid was knocked out of the UEFA Champions League this season in the semi-finals by Chelsea and finished 2nd in La Liga point table, two points behind league champions Atletico Madrid.

Former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is alleged to be in favor of replacing Zinedine Zidane.
