Barca President Joan Laporta reportedly met With Ronald Koeman at a restaurant in Barcelona on Thursday to analyze the team’s situation after a 3-3 draw on Tuesday in Levante.

Club sources underestimated the importance of the meeting and emphasized that both people often meet to discuss the team, but in this case the event could be of special significance as Koeman’s future is in the air.

According to Mediaset, the two men were joined at the restaurant by the vice-president of sports, Rafa Yuste.

Laporta wanted to hear Koeman’s personal opinion on Barcelona’s latest results and asked for an explanation as to why the team dropped points against Granada and Levante, despite leading the way in both games.

The Barcelona president is not expected to make a decision on Koeman’s future until the end of the season, but at Thursday’s meeting, he wanted to increase his coach’s character and find out if he was willing to continue planning for the club’s future with Matthew Alemany and Ramon Flights.
