The 12 founders of the split competition confirmed they had signed up for the Super League on Sunday evening, but 48 hours later, clubs in the Big Six Premier League had announced they were out of the competition.

Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, and AC Milan have followed suit the next day, but Perez has confirmed that the Super League is “still standing” despite sentencing in all corners of the game.

Speaking to El Larguero, Perez was said: “If anyone thinks the ESL is dead, are they wrong?

“We will continue to work and what everyone thinks best will come out. This project is ready. The Super League is still there.”

Perez also said that without the European Super League, it would be “impossible” to sign Kylian Mbappe or Erling Braut Haaland this summer.
