UEFA PRESIDENT Aleksander Ceferin has called Ed Woodward and Juventus ‘Andrea Agnelli’ ‘snakes’ and ‘liars’, following reports of their involvement in the Super League.
According to 90 min, Woodward and Angelli have been at the forefront of controversial plans to create a new European shopping spree that will soon compete in the Champions League. The Super League was officially announced on Sunday, shortly after it emerged that Agnelli would resign from the European Club Association (ECA).
Enthusiasm for the Super League has been low, with UEFA issuing a statement on Sunday meeting with football associations in England, Spain, and Italy. It has expressed a global desire to stop the ‘criticism project’, which they say is designed to work for a few top clubs by harassing everyone.
